Multi-language Resources for Lenders and Other Housing Professionals
Help more borrowers with limited English proficiency
We know that buying or refinancing a home can be overwhelming, especially for the more than 25 million people in the U.S. who may not be proficient in English. Now, there is help. Potential homebuyers and those wanting to refinance can find online resources to assist them in their primary language.
Created by FHFA, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in collaboration with industry, consumer, and government partners, the Mortgage Translations clearinghouse is an easy-to-use collection of translated documents and tools to assist lenders, real estate professionals, housing counselors, and other housing professionals in helping mortgage borrowers who have limited English proficiency (LEP).
