Cash Execution Options

Freddie Mac has three cash execution options available to you: mandatory fixed-rate, best efforts fixed-rate, and mandatory adjustable-rate mortgage (ARM). Our offerings give you flexibility in transacting with Freddie Mac based on what makes sense for your business.

Mandatory Fixed-Rate Execution Option

With a mandatory fixed-rate contract, you may enter into an agreement with Freddie Mac to deliver one or more fixed-rate mortgages of a specified dollar amount in exchange for cash.

Best Effort Fixed-Rate Execution Option

With a best efforts fixed-rate contract, you agree to use your ‘best effort’ to deliver a specified fixed-rate mortgage, with a specified note rate, term, and amount, to Freddie Mac in exchange for cash.

Mandatory ARM Execution Option

With a mandatory ARM contract, you may enter into an agreement with Freddie Mac to sell ARMs with various margins and interest rates in exchange for cash.
