  • GSEs to Use ARRC Concept Paper for Single-Family SOFR Index-based ARMs

    Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae (GSEs), under the guidance of the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA), intend to use the framework presented in a new paper by the Alternative Reference Rate Committee (ARRC) to modify existing ARM product requirements to enable the use of the Secured Overnight Financing Rate (SOFR) as the index.

  • Optional Use Period for the Uniform Residential Loan Application Will Not Begin July 1, 2019

    At the direction of the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA), Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (the government-sponsored enterprises, or GSEs) are communicating that the optional use period for the redesigned Uniform Residential Loan Application (URLA) form and corresponding datasets will not begin on July 1, 2019 as previously scheduled.

As announced on June 26, 2018, the GSEs have reduced the Seller data requirements from previous UCD Specifications and have narrowed the requirement to the Seller data that is disclosed in the Borrower’s Closing Disclosure.
