SPP Release Promotes Greater Scorecard Accuracy
Our goal is to simplify and standardize the Servicer Performance Profile (SPP) tool to achieve greater accuracy for annual ranking. To align with this goal, we’ve made some changes to the Servicer Success Scorecard (Scorecard) which are effective with your January 2022 Scorecard that are available in SPP as of February 28, 2022.
The changes include:
- Enhanced control variables (e.g., disaster, forbearance, age of loans, etc.) to take into consideration variables such as age of the loan and changes to the environment (e.g., pandemic, natural disasters, etc.).
- Note: Refer to the updated Scorecard Reference Guide for specific changes on each metric.
- Modify exclusions for default metrics to promote more equitable and practical comparisons.
- We removed loans you cannot act on due to certain exclusion criteria, providing a more simplified view of actionable loans.
- Where applicable, we removed disaster forbearance and unemployment forbearance from the exclusion criteria.
- We increased the transfer of servicing window from one month to two months for the transferor and transferee (applies to all default management metrics).
- Updated reports:
- Loan detail reports were updated to reflect the changes in exclusion criteria.
- The Total Timeline Loan Detail Report is now two reports instead of one: one loan detail report for the numerator and a separate report for the denominator.
