Which integrations are impacted?

  • Any lender using a S2S interface to one of these Loan Advisor applications that is implemented with a one-way SSL that is not hosted by a software partner
  • Any integrated partner (lender or software provider) that has built to Freddie Mac applications AND implemented a one-way SSL

What if this impacts my implementation?

We are updating our server certificates with no change to root and intermediate certificates. There should be no impact if you trust based on root and intermediate certificates. Please validate your connectivity after 2:00 PM. ET on February 18 (CTE) and 9:00 A.M. ET on March 19 (production).

Why are we updating digital certificates again?

Best practices dictate that we renew our digital certificates annually. To make this process as seamless as possible, we align our digital certificate renewals, so they all occur at the same time each year.

Please review these updates with your information technology (IT) or information security (InfoSec) administrators to determine if your organization is impacted. While your IT group should be able to assist in making any required changes, if you have further questions don’t hesitate to contact your Freddie Mac representative or the Customer Support Contact Center (800-FREDDIE) – we’re here to help.
