Discontinue Using Home Possible Advantage®
Effective April 26, 2021, Home Possible Advantage® loans submitted or delivered on or after that date will receive the following treatment in Loan Product Advisor® (LPASM) and Loan Selling Advisor®*:
- LPA (v5.0.06 and higher) submissions ONLY: system-to-system users
- When you submit a new Home Possible Advantage loan on or after April 26, 2021, you’ll get an error message advising that the loan program identifier Home Possible Advantage is no longer an eligible affordable program.
- The LPA Feedback Certificate will contain an LP Key to allow you to resubmit your loan as Home Possible® or another affordable program.
- LPA (v5.0.06 and higher) submissions ONLY: direct access users
- When you submit a loan, you’ll no longer see the Home Possible Advantage option in the dropdown list for Offering Identifier.
- If you modify a current Home Possible Advantage loan, you’ll be instructed to update the loan using Home Possible or another affordable program.
- Loan Selling Advisor:
- When you evaluate a Home Possible Advantage loan for delivery, you’ll get a critical edit message saying Home Possible Advantage is ineligible for sale.
- The loan will not be successfully evaluated, and you’ll need to choose the Home Possible option or another affordable program to deliver the loan.
Grandfathering for Resubmissions
When a purchase or refinance transaction is resubmitted with the loan program identifier Home Possible Advantage on or after April 26, 2021, expect the following:
- LPA (v5.0.06 and higher) submissions ONLY: system-to-system users
- A successful LPA Feedback Certificate will be returned with a warning error message advising that the Home Possible Advantage offering is no longer an eligible affordable program.
*Important Notes:
- The Home Possible mortgage offering and the related identifiers in LPA and Loan Selling Advisor are not impacted. This retirement announcement applies to the Home Possible Advantage identifiers only.
- In alignment with the recent Uniform Residential Loan Application mandate, after March 1:
- New loan submissions in LPA v4.8.01 or earlier are not allowed.
- Resubmissions in LPA v4.8.01 or earlier will continue to allow use of the Home Possible Advantage identifier.
