Updated URLA and SCIF Instructions
Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae (the GSEs) have published updated versions of the Uniform Residential Loan Application (URLA) Instructions and the Supplemental Consumer Information Form (SCIF) Instructions to provide additional clarity on the forms. Updates to these documents include:
- URLA Instructions
- Revised notes in Section 2b. Other Assets and Credits You Have and Section 5: Declarations, 5a.A
- Added “VA” as an option for Full Documentation in Section L1, Refinance Program
- SCIF Instructions
- Revised language to clarify when to retain the SCIF(s) in the loan file and when to submit SCIF information to the GSEs’ automated underwriting systems (AUSs)
The GSEs have also published new and updated questions pertaining to the SCIF in the URLA/Uniform Loan Application Dataset (ULAD)/SCIF FAQs.
