Today, Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae (the GSEs) announce the publication of the Uniform Closing Dataset (UCD) v2.0 Specification (UCD v2.0) and supporting resources to provide clearer UCD XML file requirements to help sellers improve data quality. UCD data can add insight and help provide common understanding of the loan transaction, detect fraud, determine purchase eligibility, improve delivery certainty and manage risk.

The UCD v2.0 Specification Initiative includes:

  • UCD v2.0 Specification with updates to reflect data requirements that have changed since v1.5 was published
  • UCD Critical Edits Phase 3B postponed requirements
  • UCD Critical Edits Phase 4 requirements
