Today, Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae (the GSEs) published technical resources for the Uniform Closing Dataset (UCD) v2.0 Specification (UCD v2.0). These resources are designed to assist with the adoption of UCD v2.0. Sellers can improve data quality with clearer UCD XML file requirements. UCD data can add insight and help provide common understanding of the loan transaction, detect fraud, determine purchase eligibility, improve delivery certainty and manage risk.

The UCD v2.0 related Technical Resources are now published and include:

  • UCD v2.0 Specification Implementation Guide (formerly Appendix E)
  • UCD v2.0 Specification Test Case Suite (formerly Appendices F and G)
  • UCD v2.0 Specification Validation Schema (UCD v. 2.0 “Subschema”)
