Quality Control Advisor®, Freddie Mac’s tool for helping Sellers manage the entire post-funding quality control (QC) and remedy process, is being replaced by Quality Control Advisor PlusSM. Quality Control Advisor Plus will deliver impactful, innovative enhancements that help you elevate your QC process. Effective November 3, 2025, all Freddie Mac Sellers have access to Quality Control Advisor Plus.

What’s New?
Quality Control Advisor Plus will offer enhancements to help deliver greater efficiency and simplify your efforts.

  • Greater efficiency – Real-time updates via in-tool notifications after actions (i.e., submitting files) and an improved interface make it easier to quickly identify and communicate status and missing documents. This reduces waiting time and back-and-forth communications.
  • Clearly Identified Process – Required actions are organized into queues (i.e., file requests, missing documents and remedy requests) so you know which activities you must complete and which are with Freddie Mac for review.
  • Line of Sight to Remedy Letters – Remedy letters will be accessed directly in the tool as opposed to via separate emails.

Smooth Transition
We want to make the transition as smooth as possible.

  • Same requirements, improved technology – Freddie Mac’s QC requirements aren’t changing. We’re simply enhancing the technology to help you improve your experience and elevate your QC process.
  • Automatic provisioning – All Quality Control Advisor users will be automatically provisioned for Quality Control Advisor Plus with their existing permissions and they can access it with their existing credentials. If updates are needed to users or provisioning, your Access Manager Administrator can make them through the normal process.
  • Separate Access – Quality Control Advisor Plus will have its own login in Freddie Mac GatewaySM. This will allow all new transactions to occur in Quality Control Advisor Plus while allowing users to manage pipeline activity through the existing Quality Control Advisor login. At a later date, the Quality Control Advisor login will be removed from Freddie Mac Gateway.

What’s Next?
Going forward, if you receive a sample request in Quality Control Advisor Plus, you’ll process the request in Quality Control Advisor Plus. If you’re still working on prior sample requests, you’ll continue to work on those in Quality Control Advisor.

In the meantime, we encourage you to:

  • Log in to Quality Control Advisor Plus through Freddie Mac GatewaySM. Remember, existing Quality Control Advisor users are automatically provisioned and can access the new tool using existing credentials. NOTE: If you have issues accessing the tool, contact your Access Manager Administrator.
  • Check out the new user interface in the tool.
  • Access the Job Aid available in the Reference Section inside the tool.
