General
What is Quality Control Advisor Plus?
It’s a new tool replacing Quality Control Advisor®, offering an end-to-end solution to help Sellers manage the entire post-funding quality control and remedy process. It offers impactful, innovative enhancements that help Sellers elevate the quality control (QC) process.
When will Quality Control Advisor Plus be available?
We’re making it available as part of a phased roll out. We’ll make it available to Sellers over the coming months with a target of making it available to all Sellers by the end of Q4 2025. Freddie Mac will notify Sellers when Quality Control Advisor Plus is available to their organization.
What’s new in Quality Control Advisor Plus?
Quality Control Advisor Plus will offer enhancements that deliver greater efficiency and simplify Seller efforts.
- Greater efficiency – Real-times updates via in-tool notifications after actions (i.e., submitting files) and an improved interface make it easier to quickly identify and communicate status and missing documents. This reduces waiting time and back-and-forth communications.
- Clearly Identified Process – Required actions are split into queues (i.e., file requests, missing documents and remedy requests) so you know which activities you must complete and which are with Freddie Mac for review.
- Line of Sight to Remedy Letters – Remedy letters will be accessed directly in the tool as opposed to via separate emails.
As of January 22, 2026, Quality Control Advisor Plus now allows Sellers to maintain their own contacts without the need to contact Freddie Mac through a new contacts self-serve capability, as well as view all email notifications on a particular loan from Freddie Mac with a new Notifications tab. View the Release Notes for additional information.
How do users access Quality Control Advisor Plus?
Quality Control Advisor Plus is available through a separate login in the Freddie Mac Gateway®. On the date Quality Control Advisor Plus is made available to an organization, users will access it for all new sample requests. Users will continue to use Quality Control Advisor for all existing pipeline sample requests. At a later date, Quality Control Advisor will be retired from Freddie Mac Gateway.
Do existing Quality Control Advisor users need to be provisioned for Quality Control Advisor Plus?
No. Existing Quality Control Advisor users will automatically be provisioned for Quality Control Advisor Plus with their existing roles and permissions.
How can new users be provisioned for Quality Control Advisor Plus?

Do users need additional credentials to access Quality Control Advisor Plus?
No. Existing Quality Control Advisor users can use their existing credentials to access Quality Control Advisor Plus through a separate login in Freddie Mac Gateway.
How will I receive file requests to be processed in Quality Control Advisor Plus?
Notifications for new file requests are sent via email. The list of loans is not in the email. The email notifies you that you have new activity in Quality Control Advisor Plus and prompts you to log in to access the file request and list of loans.
Who receives the file request notification?
The email contacts previously identified to receive file requests for Quality Control Advisor also receive file requests for Quality Control Advisor Plus.
How can I manage (add or remove) Contact Roles?
