Today, Freddie Mac introduced a number of enhancements to the Single-Family Seller/Servicer Guide (Guide) website (Guide.FreddieMac.com) that makes finding information easier and faster, with more advanced searchability and more comprehensive search results. Combined with ongoing content refactoring, users will find answers in a format that’s easy to skim, scroll and read.

The Enhancements Include:

Improved Search and Display

  • Simultaneously search for relevant Guide, recent Guide Bulletins and frequently asked questions (FAQs) in a single search.
  • No need for searching just keywords; you can also type a question directly into the search bar for more targeted search results.
  • Search recognizes common alternative industry terms and matches them to those used in the Guide.
  • Dynamic search filters can help narrow search results when needed.
  • Search terms are highlighted in search results and in the Guide section, making it easier to locate pertinent text.
  • Table headings are anchored to maintain context when scrolling through long tables.

New FAQ Experience

  • Guide-related FAQs have been updated for enhanced readability. When needed, additional contextual commentary has been added to address specific scenarios and topics.
  • FAQs are not only included in searches, but they also appear beside related Guide content and can be accessed on a dedicated FAQ page.
