Loan Product Advisor® Sign-Up Checklist for Approved Freddie Mac Seller/Servicers
Use this checklist to prepare for the Loan Product Advisor sign-up process to ensure that your request is processed quickly and efficiently.
Before you begin the sign-up process
Merged Credit
Loan Product Advisor now requires the use of merged credit for all new customers.
To access merged credit reports in Loan Product Advisor, you must directly contact participating credit reporting companies (CRCs) or their affiliates, provide them with your Freddie Mac Seller number, and establish service agreements for use with Loan Product Advisor (two or more is recommended).
Even if you have existing relationships with the CRCs, in order to use Loan Product Advisor's Merged Credit Report Options, you must specifically update your account with your Freddie Mac Seller number to access merged credit reports and/or Merged Credit Reference Numbers through Loan Product Advisor. To update your account with a specific CRC, refer to the Service Agreements and Setup Forms instructions on the CRC webpage.
During the sign-up process
Use the navigation buttons in the body of each sign-up page to move between pages. If you use your browser's navigation bar, including the back and forward buttons, you will lose data.
Complete the entire sign-up process in one session. If you exit midway through the process your data will not be saved.
Freddie Mac Seller/Servicer Number (6 digits).
Company name. Provide your full company name as it appears on your business license and your DBA, if applicable.
Primary contact information. The primary contact will receive all communications related to your Loan Product Advisor account.

Business Information
- Types of loan originations you perform.
- Whether or not you’d like mortgage brokers or correspondent lenders to assign loans to your company.
User information. In order to create a unique user ID/password for each Loan Product Advisor user in your organization, you need to provide the following information for every person who will be accessing the system.
- Name
- Telephone Number
Credit Reporting Information
You need to provide the following information in order to complete the required paperwork for the three national credit repositories:
- Company business classification (corporation, partnership, sole proprietorship)
- Date company was established (month/year)
- Is your company exempt from sales tax?
- Does your company intend to resell or release information from the consumer credit report to a third-party?
- Does your company provide credit repair or credit counseling services for a fee?
- Is your company entitled to participate under a General Services Administration contract?
Note: Loan Product Advisor now requires the use of merged credit for all new customers, therefore you are no longer required to print, sign and mail the three credit repository agreements as noted at the end of the Loan Product Advisor online sign-up process.
Principal/Officer Information. Provide the following information about the officer or person of authority who will be signing required documents:
- Name
- Title
- Telephone Number
- Home Address
- Social Security Number
Note: A maximum of two principal/officer names may be entered in this field during the sign-up process. Anything beyond this number will cause a system error and you may lose any entered data.

Summary Page Review. Use the summary page to review all data entered and to make any needed changes. This is your last opportunity to make any changes to your submission. Please print this page for your records.
Welcome to Loan Product Advisor
Welcome Email. After we've completed processing your paperwork, you'll receive a welcome email and we'll send:
- Your primary contact a confirmation email that also includes the requested user IDs for your company.
- Every user in your organization an email containing their individual password and personal identification number (PIN).
